Manic Haze was born is spring of 2002, by me, Laurie.

It used to be a web zine (from '02 until about '05), when I covered many shows, got to interview a lot of cool bands and take a bunch of great photos. I had a blast doing it, but decided to abandon the 'zine format, and focus on design for a while.

Since then, its basically served as my portfolio / art site. I kind of like it this way better. No pressure. I'm trying to get back into shooting shows, as life / time permits.

I've also been painting for the past 6 or 7 years, and have decided to put my work up as well.

Though MH has gone through many incarnations and hundreds of layouts, the two things that remain unchanged are my love for music and art. I have every desire to keep Manic Haze up and running!

For Photography:
- Sony Cybershot S-85 (for all my work pre-2007)
- Canon Powershot A570
- Canon Digital Rebel XTi

For Software:
- Adobe Photoshop CS (v.10 for all work prior to this)
- Adobe Dreamweaver
-Microsoft FrontPage (for past web work)

For Painting: Mostly acrylics, but sometimes oils. Most of my work is on stretched canvases, but I'll paint on pretty much anything I find useful.
