Vaux Interview with Adam & Greg

How did you get involved with music?  Was there a defining moment or person that made you want to pursue music as a career?

Adam:  My Father was my inspiration.

Greg:
my parents are really not musical at all, everything i learned i learned in the school band.

What are your influences?

Adam:  Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Muse, Doobie Brothers, Steeley Dan, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, BOC and the people I love being around are my main influences.

Greg:  The Beatles, Radiohead, The Flaming Lips, Fu Manchu, and the other guys in the band.

What do you hope people take away from your music?

We hope that people will appreciate the hard work we put into our band.   Furthermore, we hope our music will open the doors for other genres of music to be made possible.

What are your goals as a band?

Adam and Greg:  We want to have fun, play rock shows, and progress as artists in this really f'ed up industry.

Who would you like to tour with (after Warped tour)?

Adam:  I would like to tour with Queens of the Stone Age and/or The Flaming Lips.

Greg: I think as a group, the majority of us would choose Vendetta Red.  Even though it is not possible i would love to tour with Radiohead or Pearl Jam.

How did you get involved with Warped tour?

We started with Pirating the Warped Tour.  We were lined up to just play the Denver show last year, but we suceeded in forcing our way onto all but two weeks of the rest of the tour.  Thanks Warped Tour for puting up with us!!!

What's your favorite song to perform?

Adam:  Although we don't play it that often, I like to play Ride Out Bitch.  It is definitely the most psychadelic song for me on the album.

Greg: Of the songs we play now, I would have to say Four Cornered Lives.  It's probably the song that breathes the most in our set.

What's the best aspect about being in a band?

Adam:  I love playing music.  I play whenever I get the chance.  When there is an audience available playing music is even better.  I also love having the opportunity to see my friends around the country.

Greg:  The best aspect of being in a band is living in this tin can we call a van with five of my best friends for months on end.

Is there a song that you wish you'd written? (any song)

Adam:  Actually, I wish that I could have written A Day In The Life by The Beatles...awesome song! Also, sidenote, I wish I would have written Chris' lead in the middle of Ride Out Bitch.

Greg:
How about Sweet Home Alabama?  Everyone always requests "Play some Skynrd."  They all want to here it whether they know it or not.

Any last words?
Adam:  Thanks to my girlfriend and the guys in my band for making all of this possible.

Greg:
 Na.
